Drywall repair that blends in

Holes, dents, and patches shouldn’t announce themselves. CVHS repairs drywall and matches texture where practical so the wall looks finished — not like a temporary fix.

Serving Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, Altoona and nearby Chippewa Valley towns.

What we do

We patch and repair residential drywall damage — from doorknob holes and TV mount scars to larger damaged sections that need cut-out and replace. Where the wall has texture, we work to blend the repair so it doesn’t stand out under normal lighting.

If you’re looking for drywall repair in Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, Altoona or nearby, this is one of the five things CVHS does most often. Most of these jobs are small, and that’s fine with us.

Common drywall repairs

Holes and cracks

Doorknob holes, anchor and screw holes, dents from moving furniture, and the hole left behind when a TV mount or shelf comes down. Small holes usually get a compound repair. Bigger ones get a cut-out, backing, and a new piece of drywall. Cracks are opened up, taped, and finished so they don’t come right back through the paint.

Water-damage patches

Once a leak has been fixed and the area has dried out, we cut out the stained or soft section and patch it with new drywall. If the leak came from a faucet, we can take a look at that too. Large water-damage rebuilds may be a better fit for a bigger contractor, and we’ll tell you that up front.

Texture matching

A smooth patch on a textured wall is easy to spot. Where practical, we match the existing texture so the repair blends in with the rest of the wall once it’s painted.

Ceiling repair

Ceilings get cracks, nail pops, and damage from leaks or old fixtures too. We patch ceiling drywall the same careful way, and if a light fixture needs replacing at the same spot, that’s another one of our specialties.

When to call

  • Holes from hardware, accidents, or removals that need a proper patch
  • Cracks or soft spots you want addressed before painting
  • Patches from a previous repair that still show through the finish
  • You’re prepping a room and want clean walls before the painters arrive

  • Texture match where practical for the existing wall finish
  • Debris cleanup in the work area

What to expect

  • Request an estimate. Use the estimate form, email, or call. A couple of photos of the damage help us quote more accurately.
  • Get a clear, itemized estimate. Estimates are free and no-obligation, and they spell out the materials, labor, and disposal for the job.
  • Repair day. We make the repair and clean up the debris in the work area when we’re done.
  • Ready for paint. The patched area is left smooth and ready for primer and paint.

How long does it take?

It depends on the size of the damage. Joint compound has to dry between coats, so even a small patch may take more than one short visit to finish properly. Larger patches, texture matching, and ceiling work can add drying time. We’ll give you a realistic idea of timing with your estimate.

Full-room drywall installs and major water-damage rebuilds may fall outside specialty scope — we’ll tell you honestly what fits and what should go to a larger contractor. For everyday drywall repair, start with a free estimate.

Common questions

Can you match the texture on my wall?

Where practical, yes. We work to blend the repair into the existing wall finish so it doesn’t stand out under normal lighting once it’s painted.

Do you fix water-damaged drywall?

Yes, for patch-size areas. The leak needs to be fixed and the area dried out first. Then we cut out the damaged section and patch it. Large water-damage rebuilds may be a better fit for a bigger contractor, and we’ll tell you honestly if that’s the case.

Do you repair ceilings too?

Yes. Ceiling cracks, nail pops, and damaged spots are patched the same way as walls.

Will the wall be ready to paint?

Yes. We mud, sand, and leave the repair prime-ready so it’s set for primer and paint.

How do I get an estimate?

The estimate form on this site is the quickest way, and responses are typically 1-2 days. You can also email contact@cvhsllc.com or call 715-210-6483. Photos of the damage help us quote more accurately.
