Light fixtures, ceiling fans & related swaps
Update outdated or failing light fixtures for safer, brighter rooms. CVHS handles residential fixture replacements — and related outlet or GFCI work when it’s a natural fit for the job.
What we do
We replace ceiling and wall light fixtures — from hallway flush mounts to dining pendants and vanity lights — with power safely shut off, connections secured, and the new fixture leveled and tested. When a job also needs a nearby outlet or GFCI update that fits the same visit, we can discuss that as related work.
When to call
- A fixture is broken, buzzing, or no longer holds a bulb safely
- You’re refreshing a room and want lighting that matches the space
- An old fixture is hardwired and you’d rather not DIY the swap
- A ceiling fan wobbles, hums, or quit working, or you want a fan where there’s only a light now
- You need a related outlet or GFCI replacement alongside fixture work
What’s typically included
- Power shutoff at the breaker and verification before work begins
- Removal and disposal of the existing fixture and prep of the junction box
- Install of your new light fixture with secure wiring and mounting
- Leveling, cover install, and function test
- Related outlet or GFCI swaps when scoped as part of the same visit
Complex panel work, full rewires, or jobs outside handyman scope are referred out. For standard fixture replacements, we’re ready — request a free estimate.
